every photograph has two stories
there’s the story in the frame — the light, the composition, the moment. that’s the warm depth. it’s human, it’s specific, it’s the reason you stopped and pressed the shutter.
then there’s the story behind the frame — the camera settings, the focal length, the decision to crop or not crop, the edit. that’s the cold depth. it’s technical, it’s deliberate, it’s the infrastructure the warm story runs on.
most photography sites show you one or the other. the portfolio shows you the warm depth and hides the cold. the gear review shows you the cold depth and forgets the warm. I wanted a site that holds both at the same time — where you can look at a photograph and also understand how it was made, if you want to.
this site is the artifact of taking that idea seriously.
